Carmen was saying to me the other day that she wants to grow her own herbs and vegetables. Even though having gardens are orchards are common place in her little village back in Sicily, she never really had her own garden. Trying to tell her how much work this would be fell on deaf ears. So, I took her on an adventure, so she could learn this for herself. She will now share with you her adventure.
After much discussion I finally got to go on an adventure to begin my garden. We first went to one of those big box stores. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the plants and gardening supplies they had. So, I wanted to ask someone about what the best options for me would be. My little cannoli home does not have much room for a huge garden. Well we could not find anybody who could help. Us cannoli’s are not vey common here and so they were not familiar with my needs.
So, I took to social media and somebody suggested I go to Tight Space Hydroponics Garden Center in Cape Coral. Now this sounded like the right place go. Have you heard of this place? They specialize in gardening in small spaces using hydroponics. Chris, the owner, explained it all to me as I had never heard of such a thing. He has many ways you can grow herbs and plants in small spaces, even spaces really small like my cannoli home.
He has these towers made by Geek Garden that come in 3 different sizes which are perfect for small spaces. He actually took the time to explain it all to me and just what I needed to get things going. He also has gardens you can grow inside like in your kitchen which are perfect for herbs. He even has kits for kids so they can begin to learn about gardening.
I also learned about different types of soils and how Fox Farms is the best type to get. I never knew there was so much to gardening. Back in my cannoli village the soil is rich, and we would just plant things, add water and everything would just grow. Here it is so different especially if you can’t put in a huge garden.
So I took some pictures so you can see this gem of a garden center for yourself. They are located at 3714 Del Prado Blvd S #C Cape Coral Florida 33904 and here is their website https://www.tightspacehydroponics.com/ Be sure to tell them Carmen sent ya!
